When Deb’s efforts at multi-tasking behind the wheel lead to a fatal accident, she finds herself face to face with heaven’s gatekeeper Fred, who has a low opinion of how she’s used her years on earth. Unwilling to accept her time is up, Deb takes matters into her own hands and soon awakes in hospital in the body of plump and unglamorous lawyer Jane, who was injured after heroically taking a bullet during a hostage standoff. Going from glamour girl to frumpy plus-sized professional isn’t even the toughest transformation Deb will have to undergo. In her new life as a high-powered attorney, Deb has to learn the ins and outs of the law and fast. It’s a steep learning curve for anyone and Deb hasn’t exactly been a model student in the past. Will she be able to prove to Fred she’s more than a self-centred airhead? Season one left us with more than one cliff hanger. Will Jane be disbarred? Has Ethan discovered her true identity? All will be revealed in season two.
