Samantha is pursuing her Hollywood dream of being a stand-up comedian with the support of her boyfriend, Danny. Much to Danny’s surprise, Samantha proposes onstage during a performance and gives him one week to decide whether he’ll show up for a wedding or end their relationship for good. As Danny struggles to decide whether to marry Samantha, she has her own problems to deal with. In addition to planning the wedding, Samantha must deal with her parents’ strong disapproval of her relationship and proposal. As the big day arrives, Samantha worries that both her parents and her boyfriend are not going to show up for the wedding.
