Dr. Josh Wurman of the VORTEX2 project is no longer allowed to provide guidance to the TIV2 team, leading Sean Casey to hand over more navigation control to his meteorologists. Under Matt Hughes’ guidance, TIV2 intercepts one of its best tornados ever. This is the last episode to feature TIV2 navigator Matt Hughes who died on May 26, 2010 of an “injury unrelated to storm chasing”. The episode is dedicated to him.
