Lorraine Kelly presents the observational documentary series set in the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This episode follows 16-year-old Katie Buckley, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia just over a year ago. A six-month course of chemotherapy failed to cure Katie and now her only chance of survival is a bone marrow transplant. Luckily her 11-year-old sister’s bone marrow is a perfect match. The programme also revisits three-year-old Amelia, who is finding out if her brain surgery has been successful, and meets four-year-old Sean, who giggles his way through the hospital’s accident and emergency department.
