Amanda and Daniel Graystone decide to search for Zoe in V-World, but argue over who should go first; Amanda wants to apologize for slapping her daughter – the last interaction between her and her child before her death, but Daniel admits to his wife that he played upon Zoe’s fear of fire when she was in the U87 robot and she may not be willing to meet either of them. Amanda slaps Daniel in anger, but allows him to confront Zoe alone. In Zoe and Tamara’s newly created V-world, Tamara de-reses and pops up in a black room thanks to Daniel’s manipulations. He begs Tamara to tell Zoe he wants to talk to his daughter, but Zoe appears and stabs Daniel. Since in New Cap City, when a person “dies” he cannot return to the game, Daniel cannot return to see his daughter, although he vows to find a way. Knowing that Joseph cannot go back to New Cap City (since Tamara shot him earlier), Daniel asks Sam to go to V-world on his behalf and speak to Tamara. Sam, at first, refuses, but after seeing a t-shirt of the Avenging Angels (including an image of Tamara), he decides to go in, never telling Daniel it is so he can eliminate Tamara and save his brother any more grief. On Gemenon, Lacy watches in horror as an STO soldier orders a Cylon to shoot a young student who fails to salute. She runs out and yells for the robot to not shoot and it stops, looks at her and says “By Your Command.” In a veritable see-saw, the robot is told to shoot and Lacy gets it not to – each time it responds with “By Your Command.” Lacy cannot explain why the robot responds to her, although in the middle of the night, she gets all the robots to activate and gets one, in particular, to interact with her (it does not, however, respond to her inquiry if it is Zoe).
